About the Wine:
It carries notes of darker berry fruits, bacon fat, game, violets, and cracked pepper. It’s rich and medium to full-bodied, with a dense, concentrated mid-palate and sweet tannins.
About the Producer:
Abeja, named for the industrious bee, is a small, family-owned winery with estate vineyards - Heather Hill and Mill Creek - near Walla Walla. Both are LIVE certified sustainable and Salmon Safe. The winery also has contracts with select Columbia Valley growers. Production is principally Cabernet Sauvignon, with a little Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Viognier.
The Estate was founded in 1999 by John and Molly Abbott, and Ken and Ginger Harrison.
Harvest Dates: September 29 – October 2, 2018 
Barrel Fermentation & Aging: 19 months in 100% French oak 
Varietal Composition: 97% Syrah, 3% Viognier 
Appellation: Walla Walla Valley 
Alcohol: 14.5%
