Chateau La Tour de Mons, Margeaux 2016

About the Wine:

The very expressive fruity nose reveals cocoa, blackcurrants and black plums notes softly smoked. The attack is elegant and presents a well-balanced structure with a beautiful dense and round mouth balanced. The palate ends on soft tannins. This Bordeaux red pairs well with red meats, poultry, and game.

About the Producer:

The Chateau La Tour de Mons is a single block walled vineyard that stretches over 120 acres. The Chateau itself dates to the 13th Century and is names after Pierre de Mons who married into the property. His kin inherited the estate up until the late 20th Century. In 2004, it was purchased by the Credit Agricole Group which was established in the late 19th Century to institute farm unions and local banks.
