About the Wine:

Intense nose of spices, red fruits and vanilla. Medium-bodied in the mouth with red cherries, cassis, and lightly grilled oak flavors. Silky tannins and nice long finish.


About the Producer:

The Tournedeuille vineyards stretches over 18 hectares of Lalande de Pomerol, just north of the prestigious Pomerol. Agriculture in this appellation dates back 3,000 years BC, but it was in XX AD that vine growing began. The first vineyards of Tournefeuille date back to 1783 when viticulture underwent a renaissance. The property has passed through multiple family ownerships, but has remained in the Sautarel family since the second world war. It was the Sautarel family who modernized the operation and grew Chateau Tournefeuille into the jewel it has come to be recognized as. Tournefeuille’s vineyards share the same blue clay soil as Petrus!
