Lieu Dit Cab Franc 2018

About the Wine:
Their 2018 Santa Ynez Valley Cabernet Franc is lifted, high-toned and earthy. Aromas of green pepper and wet flowers fill the glass. There is crunchy and bright red fruit notes on the palate, where dried tobacco, tomato leaf and citrus peel notes hang on the finish. It is a tasteful, accurate homage to old-world Cabernet Franc.
About the Producer:
Two best friends, Justin Willett and Eric Railsback, who bonded over wine decided to create their own production in Santa Barbara after travelling to France. They were attracted to the micro-climates and marine sediment rich soils.
Technical Info:
Sourced from own rooted vines planted at the Happy Canyon Vineyard in the east side of the Santa Ynez Valley. The wine is fermented using native yeast. Once dry, we rack the juice and press off the whole cluster lots. The wine is transferred to neutral oak barrels for the winter. Once malo is complete we transfer to tank prior to bottling.
