Piero Busso, Barbaresco “Mondino,” Piedmonte 2018

About the Wine:

Aromas of red cherries, roses, plums, light licorice, baking spices. Smooth and silky, fine-grained tannins.

About the Producer:

The estate was established in 1948 by Guido, Piero’s father, with a mission to make terroir expressive wine that respects the land, the vine and the fruit. Following Guido’s untimely death, at the end of the 1970s, Piero Busso took over as head of the winery. Piero has carried on his fathers practice of respecting the land by going beyond organic certification and choosing to use no herbicides and no chemical products, employing sustainable treatments and implement a green attitude well before environmental awareness became as widespread as it is today.
