Tohu Pinot Noir Single Vineyard
About the Wine: It is complex with layers of black cherries, plum, violets, smoky French oak, and wild thyme. Its spicy pepper notes and focused acidity with earthy notes are typical characteristics of their vineyard in the Awatere Valley. It’s elegant and rich supported by silky tannins. About the Producer: When Tohu launched in 1998, it was the first truly Maori-owned winery. The Maori people are the indigenous peoples of Australia. Today, it has thousands of tribal descendants who are stakeholders of the operation. They have been recognized for award winning New Zealand wines crafted in Marlborough.
