Weingut Egon Muller Riesling Scharhof Mosel 2018

About the Wine:
This Riesling comes from the Scharhof vineyard, which is considered equivalent to that of a Cote d’Or grand cru. It is juicy and sweet with interwoven fruit, such as peaches and minerality.
About the Producer:
Weingut Egon Müller, Scharzhof, is a family-owned German winery in the Saar valley sub-region of the Mosel in Germany. It is owned by winemaker Egon Müller IV and works exclusively with Riesling grapes. Weingut Egon Müller wines are sold at unmatched prices and are hailed by some as "the Romanée-Conti of Riesling." The Scharzhofberger Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese is priced at $13,000 on an average. At the same time, they also sell an array of wines at more affordable prices.
